Toxic Passivity? I don’t think so! – Response to Richard Grannon #CPTSR #CPTSD #codependency

Today I’m celebrating 2 years of working with an amazing client and she’s taking me out for a really fabulous dinner. I’m proud to say toxic passivity is not part of our experience. We are growing every day and we have a lot to celebrate! AMEN SISTER!!!

Much love,

Happy D!

Many people who are committed to having joy in their lives are people who have known its exact opposite. Therefore, we explore many aspects of joy, including its shadows. Awareness, acceptance and action are keys to opening the doors to greater joy; and courage is strengthened when people experience connection.

The Joy-Based Living E-book offers 12 foundational practices to help you get in touch with your feelings, make a deeper commitment to yourself, and step up into becoming who you really are. It’s a great supplement any holistic practice, including therapy and coaching. https://joybasedliving.com/ebook/

  1. Alrighty then, great to see the Little River’s still flowing strong, as are your thought-provoking videos, Debbie… But give us a clue as to, “Why the moosehead at the end?” 🙂

  2. I’m thrilled to be a part of the conversation at JBL where we strive to be present, authentic and actively changing our personal view of life and relationships. These changes and perceptions are affecting the world, like a pebble dropped into a pool of water. The ripples from that are affecting the entire body of water. We don’t have to actively be in politics or be on a mission in another country, although those are needed. We simply need to clean up our own personal worlds so that clarity and the flow of positive energy can spread out into the world, making changes in a good way. Thank you for this upbeat and joyful video Debbie…

  3. How specifically does this disagree with Richard Grannon? He’s saying when you’re in the throws of codependency, you’re toxically passive. It’s just a phrase to describe the condition he’s talking about. If one is or has worked through it, they should no longer be describable as such. Sounds like both of you recommend the work to no longer be held down by trauma.
