I Love Spirit (and I feel corny sharing that publicly)

I really love Spirit, the energy that connects us all in sparkly waves of light. I’ve always felt a strong connection to Spirit, God, the Universe or whatever you choose to call it. I seem to experience it more often and more deeply than most people but I’m not sure why. I love being able to help people see and experience their own connection to Spirit, especially making the bridge between that gorgeous amazing delicious energy and their day-to-day lives. I love seeing them turn the mundane into magic.

Yesterday, while watching an interview with Jason Mraz, I learned that his song “I’m Yours”, wasn’t written for another person, it was written to the Universe. A few months ago, in Oprah’s book, I learned that one of the most popular R&B songs, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” wasn’t written for another person, it was written to the writer’s dreams and possibilities. Maybe to God. A few years ago, I learned that Mr. Rogers was a minister. In his show, he never mentions that, ever. I think that is just so darn cool that all of these amazing creatives made their love available and visible to so many people. Their arms-wide-open inclusiveness allowed so many people to enjoy their art, their message, their voices, their Spirit! What a great feeling!

2020, for me, is going to be about writing my own love songs to Spirit. I have no idea what that is going to look like or sound like or how it will emerge, but it makes my heart really happy just thinking about freeing the flow of love and basking in the mystery of it all! I look forward to sharing my experiences with you throughout the year.

What are your thoughts about Spirit? What is your relationship with God, Universe, or Spirit, or whatever you want to call it? What would you like your relationship to be?

Thank you for being with me here on this amazing journey called Life.

Much love,

Happy D!
