Let’s Do the Time Warp, Again

It is my PLEASURE, HONOR and JOY to share this inaugural post from one of my very dearest and bestest friends, Ms. Juli Jordan! She sprinkles delight and magic everywhere she goes, and her infusions are simply irresistible. I hope you enjoy her writing as much as I do… With love, Happy D!

Isn’t it funny how so much can happen in 24 hours!  I mean, I ‘ve always been perplexed by time and lately even more so.  What do I mean?  Sometimes it feels as though I am living several days of experiences in one day.  Let’s see if I can explain this in a way that is relatable.  Keep in mind that I spend 90% of my time at home…which makes this experience even more bizarre.  It would seem that you would have this type of experience when you were out and about, running hither and thither, doing thusly and suchly.  Not so, my friends.

One thing that could contribute to the time warp is being hyper aware of emotional shifts & inner conversations throughout the day.  There’s the Heckler, the Mama Love, Rebel, Smallness, Largeness.  There is a lot of noticing.  Noticing feeling separate, lonely, connected, one, love, fear…sometimes getting caught up in those feelings which is lovely when the feeling is elevated.

Perhaps it is in the focusing and appreciating of the little things that is stretching and reshaping my experience of time.  That feels true.

Perhaps I spent so much of my life being detached and floating numbly that this experience of being present is presenting a new experience of time.

This is the beginning of an exploration.
There is so much that I don’t have words for these days.
Nebulous.
Maybe because I am feeling a bit like a Stranger in a Strange Land…in a good way.
In many ways it feels like I’ve just stepped into this life from another planet!
If more of yourself is allowed to inhabit your life, perhaps time, space, colors, emotions…everything feels a little new and mesmerizing.

Kind of like how a baby will find so much joy from her toe.

I was raised in a kindergarten by a couple of overgrown, whimsical kids parading as parents, old enough to be my grandparents.

In any given moment, you can find me looking for magic in everyday situations, following my nose & learning to embrace who I am while letting go of who I thought I was supposed to be. I am a work in progress.

Motto: Little Things are Big Things.
