Happy kids don’t shoot people.

I don’t know what can be done to directly and massively affect change at the top but I do see a positive trend at the bottom and I hope it grows like a fucking massive wildfire.

In the last year or so, I learned about “unschooling”. It’s where kids stay at home and study things according to their interests, curiosities and natural inclinations. The few “unschooler” moms I’ve met are amazing, creative, free thinkers who genuinely enjoy their kids and truly want them to be happy. These moms seem to be fearless and I love being around them.

“Unschooling moms” are my new heroes. Worthy of admiration, honor and deep respect. It’s not popular to “think for yourself” and to put your kids’ happiness first; the general public has been disapproving toward them in the past. Theirs has often been a lonely road.

These grassroots moms deserve PLENTY of support. They deserve love notes of encouragement, appreciation and honor! These women are pioneers who deserve accolades for trusting their hearts and souls and rising above the voices of the masses.

Christy, Lacy, Fontana and Romey… my hats off to you! Thank you for being so badass awesome!! You inspire me!!! It’s a JOY to know you and I wish for more children and families to be as lushly loved as yours do.

We are living in new times and we need new solutions. Let’s normalize Happy.

Much love,

HappyD!

  1. WHO kicks ass & takes names? You, Rev’, and all “unschooling parents” who’re earnestly holding up a fiery torch of light in the dark times we’re currently facing.

    Rock. On. Y’all.
    🙂
