I used to walk on eggshells.
You know the feeling.
It’s the sensation that the ground beneath you is fragile, and your job is not to break it.
When you walk on eggshells, your attention is 100% external.
You are scanning the room,
the mood,
the faces of the people around you.
Is it safe?
Did I say too much?
Did I take up too much space?
You become an expert in shrinking,
a master of “Checking Out”,
leaving your own body to manage the emotional weather of everyone else.
It is exhausting.
And lonely.
But here is what I have learned after years of practicing and teaching:
The eggshells were never the ground.
They were just the story I was told about my own worth.
The real ground is made of Stardust.
The Shift: From Fragile to Infinite
Walking on Stardust is different.
Stardust doesn’t break.
It swirls.
It shines.
It is ancient.
It is infinite.
When you walk on Stardust, your attention pivots.
Instead of scanning the room for danger,
you scan your own soul for truth.
You “Check In.”
• Eggshells ask: “Am I enough for them?”
• Stardust asks: “Am I honoring me?”
This shift…
from the fragile external world to the infinite internal world…
is what we call the Sovereign Pivot.
It is the moment you stop trying to be “good” and start daring to be whole.
HONOR asks:
How do you make the leap?
How do you stop tiptoeing and start flying?
HONOR is a reliable inner kind of gravity.
HONOR is the force that holds you to your own center.
It is the refusal to abandon yourself,
even when the room gets quiet.
It is the willingness to be seen,
even when you are messy.
When you practice Self-Honor,
you stop needing the world to be smooth.
You realize that you are the sturdy thing.
You don’t need the eggshells to hold you up.
You are generating your own lift.
JOY is the Atmosphere
And this is where the MAGIC happens.
When you stop walking on eggshells, you stop holding your breath.
You exhale.
And in that exhale,
JOY rushes in.
We often think JOY is something we have to chase or earn.
But JOY is actually the natural atmosphere of a soul that is no longer shrinking.
• JOY is what happens when you trust your own feet.
• JOY is what happens when you realize the ground was never going to break.
• JOY is the feeling of walking on Stardust.
Come Fly With Us!
This isn’t just a metaphor.
It is a practice.
Every time you choose to speak your truth instead of swallowing it,
you are crushing an eggshell.
Every time you choose to honor your need instead of apologizing for it,
you are stepping onto the Stardust.
We are building a community of people who are done with the tiptoeing.
We are a flotilla of Sovereigns who are learning to trust our own lift.
We don’t do hustle-culture.
We don’t do perfection-culture.
We do HONOR-Culture.
In this culture, we fly.
Welcome to the Stardust.
Where in your life are you ready to stop walking on eggshells?
Much love,
Debbie Happy Cohen

Honor
When the goodness in people is honored,
they become empowered to stand strong
in their true, authentic, invincible greatness.
At Joy-Based Living, we’re writing daily blog posts about honor to change what the internet thinks this word means.
You can be part of this restoration by sharing these posts, using the hashtags #HonorEffect, #JoyBasedLiving, and #PurpleCards, and posting your own reflections on honor.
