Hey everyone! It’s Reverend SASSY SHORTS here. It’s a beautiful springtime day and I hope this message finds you feeling juicy good and happy and well.
Earlier today, I was feeling tired of the confusion, the deceit, the lack of information, the misinformation, around the corona storyline. So I posted this on Facebook: Why don’t we have more testing by now? We need facts. Clarity empowers.
The post got a few likes. But no one had any real solid answer. I didn’t really expect anyone to. But the question wasn’t leaving me. As Megan Thee Stallion’s popular song repeats: “What’s happenin’? What’s happenin’?”
So I decided to follow a hunch and listen to a very controversial speaker who was banned from a few places on the internet for sharing (OMG) a different narrative than the current, “permissible” one.
I don’t typically listen to hype/ controversy/ sensationalism. Usually, it feeds on fear and adds to feelings of distraction and confusion. Plus, I have a snooty but effective rule: any message that doesn’t contribute to clarity or joy isn’t worth my time, energy or attention (TEA).
But here’s the thing.
I love freedom. And I trusted the interviewer of said controversial speaker. So I decided to give it a chance. And I wasn’t disappointed.
Bottom line:
Freedom of speech is the most important freedom we have. Stealing freedom by shutting people down – banning them from speaking freely – is utterly unacceptable to me. It represents the basis of every form of alienation and abuse that I have ever seen.
And YET, I also know that LOVE is bigger than any banning because LOVE is bigger than fear. LOVE is bigger than fear because cause LOVE connects us all. That’s why the fear mongers try to shut it down.
Your job, our job, is to let LOVE flow and to not let fear close off the love in our hearts.
Whoever is banned for doing what they know to be right will walk freely because fear will not dictate them. They will carry themselves with dignity and self-respect. They will be the heroes of their own storylines.
That’s the gift that LOVE gives us. A quiet, inner clarity and conviction. Peace in our hearts. Freedom and strength. True power.
I have never, ever regretted following what I know to be right. On the other hand, I have regretted NOT following the truth of my being.
Either you trust this inner knowing or you don’t. It’s the best, cleanest, clearest source of guidance that I have. So I choose to trust it.
Love.
Love changes everything.
The song has been coming to my mind all week, so I’ll share my favorite version with you.
Please tune in.
Tune in to the love within you.
“Don’t be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Love knows. It just does. And you know it.
Much love,
Happy D!
Like I said last week –
You ARE the bread and the knife, the crystal goblet and the wine… I believe in you… I wish you so much love.
