This is Reverend SASSY SHORTS here and this message is a continuation of last week’s blog post, https://joybasedliving.com/2020/05/26/3-essential-elements-of-a-conscious-community-sassy-sunday-21-of-52/.
Today, I’d like to instill a greater sense of confidence in you about your personal development path. No matter what path you’re on, please give yourself KUDOS and a pat on the back for choosing to become more conscious, more at peace with yourself, more empowered in the world. YES!!!! BIG YES!!! AND THANK YOU!!!
I don’t know anyone who “does” the path alone, even if they meditate a lot. They usually have to learn from someone, somewhere, and that usually involves some sort of group.
In this quick video, I share that the ONE thing to look for in any transformational group or organization is . . . evidence of true transformation. You want to see that both the leaders and the people who’ve been members for awhile are actually experiencing authentic changes in their lives. Look around, ask the members, read testimonials, see for yourself.
The biggest danger on the path of personal transformation is the temptation to think “you know” or “you’ve done that already.” The people I admire most, whether they are leaders or followers or a combo of both, are those who continue opening to what’s true.
Here are some examples of what that means:
- open to what they are truly feeling and experiencing in the new moments of their lives. Maybe it’s the same old same old. Or maybe it’s brand spanking new. Either way is okay.
- open to what’s possible in their lives right now.
- open to what strengths truly are available to them. Sometimes “humility” or “low confidence” or “emotional flashbacks” get in the way of this particular truth.
I encourage you as you journey along your path to stay honest with yourself – even after you’ve learned a ton. Stay real with yourself – even after you’ve taken huge steps. Stay compassionate with yourself – even after you’ve fallen down “again.”
Stay close to your body, stay close to your heart. You know what’s right for you. These are some of the greatest practices for lasting satisfaction, for deep fulfillment, for true JOY. You go girl! You go boy! Reverend SASSY SHORTS believes in you.
So much love.
