This is Reverend SASSY SHORTS here and I want to give a big shout out of gratitude and deep appreciation to the friends of my life who really care about bringing out the best in me, in themselves, and in humanity. It seems that this care comes from deep within the wells of our beings.
I am so grateful to each of them because within our larger culture, there doesn’t always seem to be language or context to support our most authentic experiences.
However, through honoring our spirits, our feelings as well as our emerging desires and yearnings for that which we want to see in the world, we are becoming forces to be reckoned with. The result of each of these priceless relationships and conversations are feelings of greater inner strength, deeper clarity, bigger love and greater contributions in the world which we are co-creating.
I appreciate you so very much. Every single one of you.
Much love,
Happy D! also joyfully known as Reverend SASSY SHORTS!

Temple in Bahai: I’ve posted this TED talk video before but it is worthy of sharing again, especially since I mentioned it in my video message. Enjoy the visuals as well as the ideas which speak to so many levels of being and living and being divine human beings.
Here’s the JBL Trifecta. In the video, I mentioned the 3 elements of a conscious community in a similar but more nuanced way: SPIRIT, FEELINGS AND CONTRIBUTION.

Here’s the JBL ladder of feelings which I mentioned in the video. If you want to become more emotionally literate and free, refer to it frequently throughout the day to articulate what you are feeling in any given moment. Feel free to download it for your personal use and print out multiple copies – one for your wallet, one for your bathroom mirror, one for your fridge, etc.:

ps. Just for the record, this SASSY SUNDAY blog post is for May 17. I’m a little behind on these delightful sermons and hope to catch up very soon, maybe this week :-).

Your statement near the end, Debbie–“I love feelings because I love freedom and connection and warmth and joy”–was REALLY what I needed to hear, and I consider it to be an enlightened perspective… which seems to be sorely needed in the world today. Thanks mucho for sharing such keen-eyed stuff, once again! 🙂
Awesome. Your comment made me feel like a heroic Ambassador of Feelings! Lol!!
Well, given Joseph Campbell’s definition of a hero, you ARE a “heroic Ambassador of Feelings” indeed! 😉
