
Do haters influence how you feel about yourself, about others or even about life itself? Do haters slow you down, suffocate your energy or stop you from doing what you love? Don’t give them that power.
Fortify yourself. Use the experience as an opportunity to amplify your SUPERPOWER: Your bold, brash unconditional ACCEPTANCE. Acceptance of them (that’s zen). But even more importantly, acceptance of YOU (that’s SUPERZEN!). From that position, you will be much better equipped to act from YOUR authentic power. Which is the ONLY thing you can ever control. Don’t ever let ANYONE take that away from you – especially a hater.
Regardless of circumstance, here’s what you CAN do. It might look simple, but don’t let that fool you. There is peace, power and clarity on the other side. You can use this as a workout – a shift in perception of which YOU are so very worthy!
First, accept your EMBODIED reaction EXACTLY as you experience it WITHIN YOUR BODY. Some examples may include:
- Feelings of aggression
- Heart palpitations of anxiety
- Emotional numbness
- Craving an addiction (including Netflix)
- Feeling guilty or bad or tempted to apologize (when it wasn’t your fault)
Second, embrace your EMBODIED response, exactly as it it. DO NOT betray yourself by shaming yourself for your EMBODIED response. DO NOT abandon yourself by rejecting your EMBODIED response or walking away from yourself. To help you out, I recorded a couple of live Embodiment Meditations. Last, but not least, target your LOVE and EMBODY it. Focus your attention (the most precious gift that you can ever give) onto a project, a pet, a plant or a person you love. Be sure it’s something you can offer love to without any resistance (example: my fish is easy for me to love without any inner contradiction). Let yourself feel the love in your body! (THIS FEELING IS YOUR GIFT TO YOU!!!) See if you can let your love overflow throughout your being as you channel your thoughts and your emotions toward your LOVE-TARGET. Don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t do it at first. It takes practice to go from a survival-fear-response into love-creation-mode. Just keep reminding yourself that you want LOVE to win and that YOU DO have the power to embody it.
This isn’t just airy-fairy stuff! Try it for yourself and be open. What you’ll find is that your perception will shift to a larger, more beautiful awareness. From that new perspective, your physical posture will change as start stand taller inside yourself. You will be AVAILABLE to more solutions, resources and options (which are not available to you when you’re feeling stuck). With enough practice of EMBODYING LOVE, you will gain more clarity and inner strength, but as an added bonus: you will also boost your immune system!
Right now, give yourself permission to feel the JOY and the POWER of knowing that you can EMBODY LOVE no matter what, no matter when, no matter where. You’ve got things to do in the world. Your life is precious. And when LOVE is activated, it’s bigger than hate. Heck, it’s bigger than everything. It created ME AND YOU! Trusting LOVE might be a challenge because it’s not what most of us were taught to do. But it’s so worthwhile because YOU ARE!
