My dear friends,

Sometimes I feel exhausted. As an ordinary person who simply wants my loved ones to be happy, the world doesn’t make any sense.

To fight for equality and for joy feels ridiculous sometimes because these qualities are so clearly and obviously important! And yet I find myself repeating the obvious and standing strong for it because I want it to exist. (Visit me at Instagram to see todays campaign.)

Because that’s what LOVE does. It repeats itself, as many times as needed. Democracy is a fairly new idea in human history and it seems that “we the people” really do have to lead. AND we need to do it from the inside out.

i don’t think racism will go away until we face the unprocessed trauma we each carry. As long as its not healed, we unconsciously transfer it. Personal leadership means waking up, healing and then having the strength to stand for higher ideals like Joy, equality and a culture of well-being.

During times like these, I am really grateful for the people in my life who have done their inner healing work. They aren’t perfect. But they are awake. And aware. And they care. They care to have JOY WITHOUT DRAMA. These gorgeous souls continue to give me a plethora of evidence JOY WITHOUT DRAMA is a very possible and worthy and noble ideal to strive for. The laughter is contagious and the shared dinners are the most delicious.

Over the last 25 years, every single book, poem, course, support group and piece of art I have ever created is my soul striving for this vision. Knowingly or unknowingly. But definitely Unstoppably.
