ONGOING SELF-COMPASSION is a powerful catalyst for trans-MUTING the voice of a tyrannical inner critic who was born out of internalized TOXIC SHAME. I didn’t mention it in the video because it was already loaded with so much juicy-juice, but I wanted to invite you to use self-compassion as an inner backdrop while watching the video.
I never, absolutely never, side with anyone who is against my welfare. I aid nobody who detracts from my dignity, who makes me feel less than human either through subhuman onslaughts or superhuman demands. I fight or avoid people whose effect is ultimately destructive to my validity as a person, or who in any way dilute my ability to take myself seriously. – Theodore Rubin

Many people who are committed to having joy in their lives are people who have known its exact opposite. Therefore, we explore many aspects of joy, including its shadows. Awareness, acceptance and action are keys to opening the doors to greater joy; and courage is strengthened when people experience connection.
The Joy-Based Living E-book offers a foundation of 12 lifelong practices that can help you get in touch with your feelings, make a deeper commitment to yourself, and step up into becoming who you really are.
